Reflections from The Gita
Hi friends,
Happy New Year. I hope this year turns out to be better than the last two but Omicron has already caused another lockdown here, so can’t really be confident.
I have been very silent the past year. This year, I hope to change that and be more consistent with my writing. I have planned on reading and reflecting on the Bhagavad Gita, a Hindu scripture with 700 verses. The Bhagavad Gita has been studied by scholars around the world for centuries and is considered as the book which contains all the important knowledge required by mankind.
I have read the Gita in bits and pieces throughout my life but this is the first time that I have taken on this project of reading the book from the first verse to the last verse without skipping ahead.
To start off, I reflected on three verses this past week. You can read them by clicking on the following links.
When you click the links, you will see a new redesigned website. I have tried to have a clean design and hopefully, I have succeeded. I hope you like the posts. Please do share your feedback with me, both on the website design and the content.
I have also planned on reading one highly recommended (by people I admire) book each month and capture detailed notes of the same. I have already started the book for January. I will send you my review and notes of the book before the month ends.
I hope you have also decided on the projects that you want to accomplish this year. Be sure to include at least one creative project for your soul, if you haven’t already.
See you next week.
Regards,
Priya
